Sheffield United are set to implement a series of special measures designed to ensure their players remain in peak condition after the decision was taken to close their training complex due to the threat of coronavirus.

Bramall Lane has also been effectively closed to the public, with a statement issued by the Premier League club announcing offices at the stadium will not reopen until next Monday.

The Steelphalt Academy, where the first team squad and United’s age-group sides prepare for matches, will remain under lockdown for a further week.
